We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey, and the people were struck by severe need and hardship. They came upon some sheep and plundered them. Our pots were already boiling when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived, walking and leaning on his bow. He overturned our pots with his bow and then began rolling the meat in the dirt. Then he said, "Plunder is no more lawful than carrion," or, "Carrion is no more lawful than plunder." The doubt is from Hannad.
