A sack of fat was lowered down on the day of Khaybar. He said, "So I went to it and seized it. Then I said to myself, 'I will not give anyone any of this today.'" He said, "Then I turned around, and there was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiling at me."

دلي جراب من شحم يوم خيبر قال فأتيته فالتزمته قال ثم قلت لا أعطي من هذا أحدا اليوم شيئا قال فالتفت فإذا رسول الله ﷺ يتبسم إلي
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Jihad and Expeditions, chapter "Permissibility of Eating from the Spoils of War in Enemy Territory," hadith no. 1772, from the hadith of Sulayman bin Mughira, and Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Obligation of Khumus, chapter "What May Be Consumed of Food in Enemy Territory," hadith no. 3153, from the hadith of Humayd bin Hilal with the same chain.
