I went on such-and-such a campaign with the Prophet of Allah ﷺ. The people crowded the camping spaces and blocked the road, so the Prophet of Allah ﷺ sent a herald to announce among the people that whoever crowds a camping space or blocks a road has no jihad to his credit.
حدثنا سعيد بن منصور حدثنا إسمعيل بن عياش عن أسيد بن عبد الرحمن الخثعمي عن فروة بن مجاهد اللخمي
غزوت مع نبي الله ﷺ غزوة كذا وكذا فضيق الناس المنازل وقطعوا الطريق فبعث نبي الله ﷺ مناديا ينادي في الناس أن من ضيق منزلا أو قطع طريقا فلا جهاد له
[Hasan] Ahmad reported it, 3/440, from the hadith of Ismail bin Ayyash, through him, and he stated explicitly that he heard it directly, as found in Abu Yaala's Musnad, no. 1483, and in Mafarid, another book of his, and it is also in Sunan Saeed bin Mansur, no.
