The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best company of companions is four, the best of raiding parties is four hundred, the best of armies is four thousand, and twelve thousand will never be defeated due to small numbers."

عن النبي ﷺ قال خير الصحابة أربعة وخير السرايا أربع مائة وخير الجيوش أربعة آلاف ولن يغلب اثنا عشر ألفا من قلة
[Its chain of transmission is daif]. Narrated by Tirmidhi, in the Book of Military Expeditions, chapter on what has been said about raiding parties, no. 1555, from the hadith of Wahb bin Jareer, and he said it is hasan gharib. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 2538, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 663, and Hakim, on the standard of the two Shaykhs, 1/443, 20/101, and Dhahabi agreed with him.Zuhri is a mudallis, and he narrated it using "an" (indicating a non-explicit form of transmission).
