A man emigrated to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from Yemen, and he asked him, "Do you have anyone in Yemen?"The man replied, "My parents."He asked, "Have they given you permission?"He said, "No."He said, "Go back to them and seek their permission. If they grant it, then go forth to fight, otherwise be dutiful to them."
حدثنا سعيد بن منصور حدثنا عبد الله بن وهب أخبرني عمرو بن الحارث أن دراجا أبا السمح حدثه عن أبي الهيثم
أن رجلا هاجر إلى رسول الله ﷺ من اليمن فقال هل لك أحد باليمن قال أبواي قال أذنا لك قال لا قال ارجع إليهما فاستأذنهما فإن أذنا لك فجاهد وإلا فبرهما
[Its isnad is daif] Ahmad reported it, 3/75, from the hadith of Darraj via the same route, and its chain is daif. It is also in Sunan Saeed bin Mansur, no. 2334, and the preceding hadith, no. 2529, serves in its place.
