The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever does not go out to fight, or equip a fighter, or look after a fighter's family in his absence with goodness, Allah will strike him with a calamity."Yazid bin Abd Rabbih added in his version, "before the Day of Resurrection."

Sourcing, hasan. Ibn Majah narrated it in jihad, chapter on the severity of neglecting jihad, no. 2762, from the hadith of Walid bin Muslim, with this wording, and he explicitly stated the continuous chain of direct hearing in Ibn Asakir's Al-Arbain fi al-hathth ala al-jihad, no. 20. Sadaqa bin Khalid corroborated him, as found in Tabarani's Musnad Shamiyin, no. 883.
