A man came to the Prophet ﷺ in the mosque during Ramadan and said, "Messenger of Allah, I am ruined."The Prophet ﷺ asked him what had happened. He replied, "I was intimate with my wife while fasting."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Give charity."The man said, "By Allah, I have nothing, nor am I able to do so."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Sit down."So he sat. While he was in that state, a man came along driving a donkey carrying food. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Where is the one who said he was ruined just now?"The man stood up.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Give this away as charity."The man said, "Messenger of Allah, to someone other than us? By Allah, we are hungry and have nothing."He said, "Then eat it."
