A man came to the Prophet ﷺ saying that he had broken his fast during Ramadan, and the rest of the hadith was mentioned. He said that a basket containing about fifteen saa of dates was brought, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Eat all of it, you and your family, fast one day, and seek Allah's forgiveness."

جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ أفطر في رمضان بهذا الحديث قال فأتي بعرق فيه تمر قدر خمسة عشر صاعا وقال فيه كله أنت وأهل بيتك وصم يوما واستغفر الله
[Its chain is daif] Daraqutni related it, 2/190, from the hadith of Abu Dawud through this route, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, h: 1954. The hadith has very many corroborating narrations. Zuhri narrated with "an" (without specifying direct hearing). h:
