A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I am ruined."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "What is the matter with you?"He replied, "I had relations with my wife during Ramadan."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Can you find the means to free a slave?"He answered, "No."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Are you able to fast two consecutive months?"He answered, "No."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Are you able to feed sixty needy people?"He answered, "No."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Sit down."A large basket containing dates was then brought to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "Give this in charity."The man said, "Messenger of Allah, between the two lava fields of Madinah there is no household poorer than ours."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed until his front teeth showed, then said, "Feed it to your family." Musaddad in another place said, "his eye-teeth."
