The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the ritual bath from a single vessel, which was the faraq, after sexual impurity.
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة القعنبي عن مالك عن ابن شهاب عن عروة
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يغتسل من إناء واحد هو الفرق من الجنابة
Reported by Muslim, Menstruation, Chapter on the Recommended Amount of Water for the Ghusl of Janaba, no. 319, from the hadith of Malik, through this route. It is also found in Muwatta (the narration of Yahya, 1/44, 45, and the narration of Qanabi, p. 54). Bukhari also reported it, no. 250, from the hadith of Ibn Shihab Zuhri, through this route.
