The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever does not abandon false speech and acting upon it, Allah has no need for him to abandon his food and drink."Ahmad said, "I understood the chain of narration from Ibn Abu Dhib, and the hadith itself was conveyed to me by a man sitting beside him, whom I believe was his nephew."
حدثنا أحمد بن يونس حدثنا ابن أبي ذئب عن المقبري عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ من لم يدع قول الزور والعمل به فليس لله حاجة أن يدع طعامه وشرابه و قال أحمد فهمت إسناده من ابن أبي ذئب وأفهمني الحديث رجل إلى جنبه أراه ابن أخيه
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Fasting, Chapter on One Who Does Not Abandon False Speech and Acting on It While Fasting, no. 1903, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Dhib, through this route.
