"Divorced women shall wait by themselves for three menstrual cycles" [Baqarah 2:228]. And He said, "As for those of your women who have despaired of menstruation, if you are in doubt, their waiting period is three months" [Talaq 65:4]. Some of this was abrogated, for He said, "Then you divorce them before you have touched them, there is no waiting period for you to count concerning them" [Ahzab 33:49].

{والمطلقات يتربصن بأنفسهن ثلاثة قروء} وقال {واللائي يئسن من المحيض من نسائكم إن ارتبتم فعدتهن ثلاثة أشهر} فنسخ من ذلك وقال {ثم طلقتموهن من قبل أن تمسوهن فما لكم عليهن من عدة تعتدونها}
