A man came and accepted Islam during the time of the Prophet ﷺ, then his wife came afterward and accepted Islam. He said, "Messenger of Allah, she had accepted Islam together with me." So he returned her to him.
حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة حدثنا وكيع عن إسرائيل عن سماك عن عكرمة
أن رجلا جاء مسلما على عهد النبي ﷺ ثم جاءت امرأته مسلمة بعده فقال يا رسول الله إنها قد كانت أسلمت معي فردها علي
[Its isnad is daif] Tirmidhi transmitted it, in the chapter on Marriage, in the section on what has been said about a married couple who are polytheists when one of them accepts Islam, hadith no. 1144, from the hadith of Waki with this wording, and he said, sahih, and Hakim graded it sahih (2/200), and Dhahabi agreed with him.
