The Prophet ﷺ said, "The divorce of a slave woman is two pronouncements, and her waiting period is two menstrual cycles."Abu Asim said, Muzahir narrated to me, Qasim narrated to me, from Ayesha, from the Prophet ﷺ, that Abu Hasan, the freed slave of Banu Nawfal, informed him that he asked Ibn Abbas for a ruling about a male slave who was married to a slave woman and pronounced two divorces upon her, after which both of them were set free. Was it proper for him to propose marriage to her again?Ibn Abbas replied, "Yes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave that ruling." And he added, "Her waiting period is two menstrual cycles."
Its isnad is daif. It was reported by Tirmidhi, Talaq, chapter on what has been mentioned that the divorce of a female slave is two divorces, no. 1182, and Ibn Majah, no. 2080, from the hadith of Abu Asim in this manner. Tirmidhi said, "Gharib." Mudhahir bin Aslam is daif.
