The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The eyes are the drawstring of the anus, so whoever sleeps must perform ablution."
حدثنا حيوة بن شريح الحمصي في آخرين قالوا حدثنا بقية عن الوضين بن عطاء عن محفوظ بن علقمة عن عبد الرحمن بن عائذ
قال رسول الله ﷺ وكاء السه العينان فمن نام فليتوضأ
Its chain of transmission is daif. Ibn Majah narrated it in the chapter on wudu, in the section on wudu after sleep, hadith no. 477, from the hadith of Baqiyyah with this wording, and its chain is daif. Nevertheless, Munziri and others graded it hasan, and the hadith has corroborating narrations.
