The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, when he intended to depart from Mina, "We will camp tomorrow."Usama bin Zayd reported, "I asked, 'Messenger of Allah, where will you camp tomorrow?' during his Hajj.He replied, "Has Aqeel left us any dwelling?"Then he said, "We will camp at the Khayf of Banu Kinanah, where Quraysh swore their oath upon disbelief," meaning Muhassab. That was because Banu Kinanah had made a pact with Quraysh against Banu Hashim that they would not intermarry with them, nor trade with them, nor shelter them.Zuhri said, "Khayf means valley."
حدثنا محمود بن خالد حدثنا عمر حدثنا أبو عمرو يعني الأوزاعي عن الزهري عن أبي سلمة عن أبي هريرة أن رسول الله ﷺ قال حين أراد أن ينفر من منى نحن نازلون غدا فذكر نحوه ولم يذكر أوله ولا ذكر الخيف الوادي
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Hajj, the chapter on the Prophet's descending in Makkah, hadith no. 1590, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Hajj, the chapter on ﷺ, hadith no. 1314, from the hadith of Uzai through this route.
