The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah, have mercy on those who shave their heads."They said, "Messenger of Allah, and those who shorten their hair?"He said, "Allah, have mercy on those who shave their heads."They said, "Messenger of Allah, and those who shorten their hair?"He said, "And those who shorten their hair."
حدثنا القعنبي عن مالك عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال اللهم ارحم المحلقين قالوا يا رسول الله والمقصرين قال اللهم ارحم المحلقين قالوا يا رسول الله والمقصرين قال والمقصرين
Bukhari related it in the book of Hajj, chapter on shaving and trimming the hair upon completing Ihram, no. 1727, and Muslim, in the book of Hajj, chapter on the superiority of shaving over trimming and the permissibility of trimming, no. 1301, from the hadith of Malik through this same chain, and it is found in Muwatta (Yahya's recension), 1/395.
