I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the standing place, meaning at Muzdalifah, and said, "Messenger of Allah, I have come from the mountain of Tayy. I have exhausted my mount and worn myself out. By Allah, I did not leave a single hill without stopping at it. Is my Hajj valid?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Whoever catches this prayer with us and came to Arafat before this, by night or by day, his Hajj is complete and he has fulfilled its rites."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا يحيى عن إسمعيل حدثنا عامر أخبرني
أتيت رسول الله ﷺ بالموقف يعني بجمع قلت جئت يا رسول الله من جبل طيئ أكللت مطيتي وأتعبت نفسي والله ما تركت من حبل إلا وقفت عليه فهل لي من حج فقال رسول الله ﷺ من أدرك معنا هذه الصلاة وأتى عرفات قبل ذلك ليلا أو نهارا فقد تم حجه وقضى تفثه
[Its isnad is sahih], reported by Tirmidhi, Hajj, chapter on one who catches the imam at Jam, he has caught the Hajj, h: 891, and Nasai, h: 3042, and Ibn Majah, h: 3016, from the hadith of Ismail through this route. Tirmidhi said, hasan sahih. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, h: 2820, as did Ibn Hibban (al-Ihsan), 3839, 3840, and Hakim, 1/463, and Dhahabi concurred with him.
