The Prophet ﷺ delivered a sermon during his pilgrimage and said, "Time has come full circle to its form on the day Allah created the heavens and the earth. The year is twelve months, four of which are sacred. Three are consecutive, Dhul-Qadah, Dhul-Hijjah, and Muharram, and then Rajab of Mudar, which falls between Jumada and Shaban."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا إسمعيل حدثنا أيوب عن محمد
أن النبي ﷺ خطب في حجته فقال إن الزمان قد استدار كهيئته يوم خلق الله السموات والأرض السنة اثنا عشر شهرا منها أربعة حرم ثلاث متواليات ذو القعدة وذو الحجة والمحرم ورجب مضر الذي بين جمادى وشعبان
