The Prophet ﷺ and his companions did not perform the saʿy between Safa and Marwa more than once, only their initial saʿy.
حدثنا أحمد بن حنبل حدثنا يحيى عن ابن جريج قال أخبرني أبو الزبير قال سمعت
لم يطف النبي ﷺ ولا أصحابه بين الصفا والمروة إلا طوافا واحدا طوافه الأول
Reported by Muslim, Hajj, Chapter on explaining the forms of ihram and that it is permissible to perform Hajj alone or as tamattu, etc., hadith no. 1215, from the hadith of Yahya Qattan with this chain, and it is also in Musnad Ahmad, 3/317. And the Quran.
