I entered the state of ihram for both together. Umar said, "You have been guided to the sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ."
حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة حدثنا جرير بن عبد الحميد عن منصور عن أبي وائل قال
أهللت بهما معا فقال عمر هديت لسنة نبيك ﷺ
[Its isnad is sahih] Nasai narrated it in Manasik al-Hajj, chapter on al-Qiran, hadith no. 2720, from the hadith of Jareer bin Abdul-Hameed, through this route. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith nos. 985, 986, and likewise Daraqutni (al-Ilal al-Waridah, 2/166).
