The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Had I known at the start what I came to understand later, I would not have brought the sacrificial animal with me." Muhammad said, I believe he also said, "And I would have come out of ihram along with those who exited ihram after performing umra." He said, He wished for the affair of the people to be one and the same.
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى بن فارس الذهلي حدثنا عثمان بن عمر أخبرنا يونس عن الزهري عن عروة
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لو استقبلت من أمري ما استدبرت لما سقت الهدي قال محمد أحسبه قال ولحللت مع الذين أحلوا من العمرة قال أراد أن يكون أمر الناس واحدا
