Saad bin Abu Waqqas said that whenever the Prophet of Allah ﷺ took the road to al-Far, he would begin the talbiyah once his mount stood up with him. Whenever he took the road to Uhud, he would begin the talbiyah upon reaching the top of the hill of al-Bayda.

قال سعد بن أبي وقاص كان نبي الله ﷺ إذا أخذ طريق الفرع أهل إذا استقلت به راحلته وإذا أخذ طريق أحد أهل إذا أشرف على جبل البيداء

[Its chain of transmission is daif] Abu Yaala reported it, no. 818, and Bayhaqi, 5/38, 39, from the hadith of Wahb bin Jareer, through the same chain.Muhammad bin Ishaq is a mudallis and did not clearly state that he heard it directly.
