The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is sin enough for a man to neglect those he is responsible for providing."
حدثنا محمد بن كثير أخبرنا سفيان حدثنا أبو إسحق عن وهب بن جابر الخيواني
قال رسول الله ﷺ كفى بالمرء إثما أن يضيع من يقوت
[Sahih] Nasai reported it in Sunan al-Kubra, no. 9177, from the hadith of Sufyan Thawri through this route. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (Ihsan): 4226, as did Hakim, who said it meets the standard of the two sheikhs, 1/415 and 4/500, 501, and Dhahabi agreed with him.Abu Ishaq Sabi stated explicitly that he heard it, as recorded by Tayalisi, no. 2281. There is another route for it in Muslim, no. 996, from Abdullah bin Amr through this route.
