Uqba bin Amir reported,

We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ serving ourselves, taking turns at tending to our camels. It was my turn to tend the camels, so I brought them back in the evening and found the Messenger of Allah addressing the people. I heard him say, "There is no one among you who performs ablution thoroughly, then stands and prays two units of prayer, devoting his heart and face to them, except that Paradise has been made obligatory for him."I said, "Wonderful, wonderful! How excellent is this!"A man in front of me said, "The one before it was even better, Uqba."I looked, and there was Umar bin Khattab. I said, "What was it, Abu Hafs?"He said, "Just before you came, he said, 'There is no one among you who performs ablution thoroughly, then says when he finishes his ablution, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, except that the eight gates of Paradise are opened for him so that he may enter through whichever he wishes.'"Muawiya said, And Rabia bin Yazid narrated to me, from Abu Idris, from Uqba bin Amir.

عن عقبة بن عامر قال

كنا مع رسول الله ﷺ خدام أنفسنا نتناوب الرعاية رعاية إبلنا فكانت علي رعاية الإبل فروحتها بالعشي فأدركت رسول الله يخطب الناس فسمعته يقول ما منكم من أحد يتوضأ فيحسن الوضوء ثم يقوم فيركع ركعتين يقبل عليهما بقلبه ووجهه إلا قد أوجب فقلت بخ بخ ما أجود هذه فقال رجل من بين يدي التي قبلها يا عقبة أجود منها فنظرت فإذا هو عمر بن الخطاب فقلت ما هي يا أبا حفص قال إنه قال آنفا قبل أن تجيء ما منكم من أحد يتوضأ فيحسن الوضوء ثم يقول حين يفرغ من وضوئه أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له وأن محمدا عبده ورسوله إلا فتحت له أبواب الجنة الثمانية يدخل من أيها شاء قال معاوية وحدثني ربيعة بن يزيد عن أبي إدريس عن عقبة بن عامر
