Regarding a woman giving charity from her husband's house, he said, "No, except from her own provision, and the reward is shared between them. It is not permissible for her to give charity from her husband's wealth except with his permission."

[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Bayhaqi reported it, 4/193, from the hadith of Abu Dawud with the same chain. This hadith does not indicate that the hadith of Hammam is daif, because his statement, "and the reward is shared between them," indicates that half belongs to him and half to her. This applies if it was done without his instruction. But if it was done by his instruction, then the reward belongs equally to both of them.
