Abbas asked the Prophet ﷺ for permission to pay his charity before it became due, and he granted him permission to do so. Mura said in his version, "He permitted him to do that."
حدثنا سعيد بن منصور حدثنا إسمعيل بن زكريا عن الحجاج بن دينار عن الحكم عن حجية
أن العباس سأل النبي ﷺ في تعجيل صدقته قبل أن تحل فرخص له في ذلك قال مرة فأذن له في ذلك
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Tirmidhi also narrated it in the Book of Zakat, chapter on advancing zakat before its due time, hadith 678, and Ibn Majah, hadith 1795, both from Saeed bin Mansur through this chain. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith 2331, as did Hakim, 3/232, and Dhahabi concurred with him.Hakam bin Utayba was a mudallis, and he narrated using "an," and the hadith has daif corroborating narrations.
