Yaqub bin Ibrahim reported,

I heard my father say, citing Muhammad bin Ishaq regarding the statement "no jalab and no janab," that the livestock should be given in charity at their own locations and not driven to the collector. As for janab, it concerns this same obligation, meaning that the owners are not to be made to bring their animals from afar. He said that the collector should not be at the farthest point from the owners of the charity such that the animals are driven over to him. Rather, the charity is to be taken at its own location.

حدثنا يعقوب بن إبراهيم قال

سمعت أبي يقول عن محمد بن إسحق في قوله لا جلب ولا جنب قال أن تصدق الماشية في مواضعها ولا تجلب إلى المصدق والجنب عن غير هذه الفريضة أيضا لا يجنب أصحابها يقول ولا يكون الرجل بأقصى مواضع أصحاب الصدقة فتجنب إليه ولكن تؤخذ في موضعه
