My father was among the Companions of the Tree. Whenever a people came to the Prophet ﷺ with their charity, he would say, "O Allah, send blessings upon the family of so-and-so."My father came to him with his charity, and he said, "O Allah, send blessings upon the family of Abu Awfa."
حدثنا حفص بن عمر النمري وأبو الوليد الطيالسي المعنى قالا حدثنا شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة
كان أبي من أصحاب الشجرة وكان النبي ﷺ إذا أتاه قوم بصدقتهم قال اللهم صل على آل فلان قال فأتاه أبي بصدقته فقال اللهم صل على آل أبي أوفى
Bukhari transmitted it, zakat, chapter on the imam's prayer and supplication for the giver of charity, etc, no. 1497, from Hafs bin Umar, and Muslim, zakat, chapter on the supplication for one who brings charity, no. 1078, from the hadith of Shubah, with the same chain.
