Jareer relieved himself, then performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks. He said, "What should prevent me from wiping when I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wipe?"They said, "That was before the revelation of Surah al-Maidah."He replied, "I did not embrace Islam until after the revelation of al-Maidah."
