The Prophet ﷺ used to seek refuge from five things, from cowardice, miserliness, the wretchedness of old age, the turmoil of the heart, and the punishment of the grave.
حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة حدثنا وكيع حدثنا إسرائيل عن أبي إسحق عن عمرو بن ميمون
كان النبي ﷺ يتعوذ من خمس من الجبن والبخل وسوء العمر وفتنة الصدر وعذاب القبر
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ibn Majah narrated it in the Book of Supplication, chapter on what the Messenger of Allah sought refuge from ﷺ, hadith no. 3844, from the hadith of Waki, with this wording. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (2445), and Hakim graded it sahih according to the criteria of the two Shaikhs (1/530), and Dhahabi concurred with him. Abu Ishaq narrated with an, and the hadith has daif corroborating narrations.
