We used to count the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying in a single sitting, a hundred times, "My Lord, forgive me and accept my repentance, for You are the Ever-Relenting, the Most Merciful."
حدثنا الحسن بن علي حدثنا أبو أسامة عن مالك بن مغول عن محمد بن سوقة عن نافع
إن كنا لنعد لرسول الله ﷺ في المجلس الواحد مائة مرة رب اغفر لي وتب علي إنك أنت التواب الرحيم
[Sahih] Ibn Majah reported it in the Book of Manners, Chapter on Seeking Forgiveness, no. 3814, from the hadith of Abu Usama with this chain. Tirmidhi said, no. 3434, hasan sahih gharib, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 2459.
