Urwa reported,

Urwa narrated from his father, who said, "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey, and I had a water vessel with me. He went off to relieve himself, then came back, and I met him with the vessel and poured water for him. He washed his hands and his face, then tried to roll up his sleeves to wash his arms, but he was wearing a Roman woolen cloak with narrow sleeves, so he could not. He pulled his arms out from underneath instead. Then I bent down to remove his leather socks, but he said to me, 'Leave the socks on, for I put my feet into them in a state of purity.' He then wiped over them."The father of the narrator said, Shaybi said, "Urwa testified this to me on the authority of his father, and his father testified it on the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
