Hasan. Tirmidhi also recorded it in the Book of Purification, chapter on what has been said about running water between the fingers, hadith no. 40, from Qutayba, with the same wording, and said, hasan gharib. Ibn Majah also recorded it, hadith no. 446. Layth bin Saad and others also narrated it from Yazid bin Amr with the same wording, as found in Ibn Abu Hatim's introduction to Al-Jarh wal-Tadil, pages 31-32, and in Bayhaqi.
