I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution while wearing a Qatari turban. He slipped his hand under the turban and wiped the front of his head without unwrapping it.
حدثنا أحمد بن صالح حدثنا ابن وهب حدثني معاوية بن صالح عن عبد العزيز بن مسلم عن أبي معقل
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يتوضأ وعليه عمامة قطرية فأدخل يده من تحت العمامة فمسح مقدم رأسه ولم ينقض العمامة
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Related by Ibn Majah, Purification, chapter on wiping over the turban, hadith no. 564, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Wahb, with this chain. Abu Maqil is unknown (Mizan al-Itidal, 4/576).
