Abdullah bin Abbas reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was given seven of the long mathani, and Musa 
was given six. When he cast down the tablets, two were lifted away and four remained.

[Its chain is daif] Nasai narrated it in the Book of Opening the Prayer, Chapter on the interpretation of the words of Allah, Mighty and Sublime, "We have given you seven of the oft-repeated [verses] and the great Quran" [Hijr 15:87], no. 916, from the hadith of Jareer bin Abdul-Hameed, by this same chain.
