When did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Witr?She replied, "He did all of that. He performed Witr at the beginning of the night, in the middle of it, and at the end of it. But by the time he died, his Witr had settled to the time before dawn."
حدثنا أحمد بن يونس حدثنا أبو بكر بن عياش عن الأعمش عن مسلم عن مسروق قال
متى كان يوتر رسول الله ﷺ قالت كل ذلك قد فعل أوتر أول الليل ووسطه وآخره ولكن انتهى وتره حين مات إلى السحر
Muslim narrated it in the book of the prayer of the traveler, in the chapter on the night prayer and the number of units of prayer performed by the Prophet ﷺ at night, etc., hadith no. 745, from the hadith of Amash, with this chain.
