My beloved ﷺ instructed me to observe three things which I never abandon for anything. He instructed me to fast three days of every month, never to sleep without performing the witr prayer, and to pray the forenoon prayer whether at home or while traveling.
حدثنا عبد الوهاب بن نجدة حدثنا أبو اليمان عن صفوان بن عمرو عن أبي إدريس السكوني عن جبير بن نفير
أوصاني خليلي ﷺ بثلاث لا أدعهن لشيء أوصاني بصيام ثلاثة أيام من كل شهر ولا أنام إلا على وتر وبسبحة الضحى في الحضر والسفر
[Its chain is daif]. Ahmad narrated it in 6/451 from Abu Yaman with this wording, but the chain is defective. Safwan heard it from some of the elders, from Abu Idris, as noted in Musnad Ahmad, and the hadith of Muslim, no. 722, makes this hadith unnecessary.
