The Prophet ﷺ came to the mosque of Banu Abd al-Ashhal and prayed Maghrib there. When they had finished their prayer, he saw them performing voluntary prayers afterward, so he said, "This is a prayer for the home."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي الأسود حدثني أبو مطرف محمد بن أبي الوزير حدثنا محمد بن موسى الفطري
أن النبي ﷺ أتى مسجد بني عبد الأشهل فصلى فيه المغرب فلما قضوا صلاتهم رآهم يسبحون بعدها فقال هذه صلاة البيوت
[Its isnad is hasan]. Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Prayer, chapter on what has been mentioned about praying after Maghrib being better performed at home, hadith no. 604, and Nasai, hadith no. 1601, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Musa, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith no. 1201.
