"Did you used to sit with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He replied, "Yes, often. He would not rise from the spot where he had prayed the morning prayer until the sun came up, and once it had risen, he ﷺ would stand."
حدثنا ابن نفيل وأحمد بن يونس قالا حدثنا زهير حدثنا سماك قال قلت
أكنت تجالس رسول الله ﷺ قال نعم كثيرا فكان لا يقوم من مصلاه الذي صلى فيه الغداة حتى تطلع الشمس فإذا طلعت قام ﷺ
Reported by Muslim, Masajid, chapter on the merit of sitting in one's place of prayer after the dawn prayer and the merit of mosques, hadith no. 670, from Ahmad bin Abdullah, from Abdullah bin Yunus, through the same chain.
