Ali bin Abu Talib reported,

The Prophet ﷺ forbade praying after Asr unless the sun was still high.

Darussalam

Its isnad is sahih, and Nasai narrated it in "Al-Mawaqit," chapter "The Permission Regarding Prayer After Asr," Hadith 574, from the hadith of Mansur, with the same wording. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, Hadith 1284, as did Ibn Hibban, Hadith 620.
