Abu Hurairah reported,

We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ toward Najd until we reached Dhat al-Riqaa, in a place of palm trees, where he encountered a group from Ghatafan. He then mentioned the same meaning, but with wording different from that of Haywa. He said in it that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the bowing and prostration with those who were with him, then once they stood up, they walked backwards to the ranks of their companions. He did not mention turning their backs to the qiblah.
