The Prophet ﷺ used to pray for rain like this, meaning he stretched out his hands with their palms facing the ground, until I could see the whiteness of his armpits.

أن النبي ﷺ كان يستسقي هكذا يعني ومد يديه وجعل بطونهما مما يلي الأرض حتى رأيت بياض إبطيه
