A man asked Ibn Abbas, "Did you witness the Eid with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He replied, "Yes, and were it not for my close standing with him, I would not have witnessed it due to my young age. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to the landmark near the house of Kathir bin Salt, prayed, then delivered the sermon. He made no mention of an adhan or iqamah. Then he ordered us to give charity, and the women began pointing to their ears and throats. He instructed Bilal, who went to them and then returned to the Prophet ﷺ."
حدثنا محمد بن كثير أخبرنا سفيان
سأل رجل ابن عباس أشهدت العيد مع رسول الله ﷺ قال نعم ولولا منزلتي منه ما شهدته من الصغر فأتى رسول الله ﷺ العلم الذي عند دار كثير بن الصلت فصلى ثم خطب ولم يذكر أذانا ولا إقامة قال ثم أمرنا بالصدقة قال فجعل النساء يشرن إلى آذانهن وحلوقهن قال فأمر بلالا فأتاهن ثم رجع إلى النبي ﷺ
