Malik bin Arfata reported,

I heard Abd Khayr say, "I saw Ali . A chair was brought to him and he sat down on it. Then a jug of water was brought, and he washed his hands three times, then rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose from the same handful of water."Abd Khayr reported, "Ali came to us after he had already prayed, and he called for water for purification. We said to one another, 'What does he want with water for purification when he has already prayed? He can only mean to teach us.'"A vessel containing water was brought to him along with a basin. He poured from the vessel onto his right hand and washed his hands three times. Then he rinsed his mouth and blew out water three times, rinsing his mouth and blowing out the water from the same palm with which he scooped it. Then he washed his face three times. Then he washed his right arm three times and his left arm three times. Then he put his hand into the vessel and wiped his head once. Then he washed his right foot three times and his left foot three times."Then he said, 'Whoever would like to know how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed wudu, this is it.'"

حدثنا محمد بن المثنى حدثني محمد بن جعفر حدثني شعبة قال سمعت مالك بن عرفطة سمعت عبد خير رأيت عليا رضي الله عنه أتي بكرسي فقعد عليه ثم أتي بكوز من ماء فغسل يديه ثلاثا ثم تمضمض مع الاستنشاق بماء واحد وذكر الحديث
