Ali performed the morning prayer, then entered the courtyard and called for water. The servant brought him a vessel containing water along with a basin. He took the vessel with his right hand and poured water onto his left hand, then washed his palms three times. Then he put his right hand into the vessel, rinsed his mouth three times, and sniffed water into his nose three times. He then continued with a narration close to that of Abu Awana. He said, "Then he wiped his head, the front and the back, one time." He then continued with the rest of the hadith in similar fashion.
