Umar bin Khattab found a garment of thick brocade being sold in the market, so he took it and brought it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Buy this and adorn yourself with it for the festival and for receiving delegations." He then narrated the rest of the hadith, and the first version is more complete.
