The Prophet ﷺ said, "For every instance of forgetfulness, there are two prostrations after one has given the salutation."No one besides Amr narrated this from his father.
Graded hasan. Ibn Majah reported it in the book of establishing prayers, in the chapter on what has been said about someone who performs the two prostrations after the salam, hadith no. 1219, from Uthman bin Abu Shayba with this wording, but he did not say "from his father." Ismail bin Ayyash explicitly stated that he heard it directly, as recorded by Bayhaqi (2/337), and Zuhayr bin Salim was deemed reliable by Ibn Hibban, and likewise by Dhahabi in Kashif.
