He informed him that it had reached him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reported this account, and he did not perform the two prostrations that are made when one is in doubt, until the people met him.Ibn Shihab said, Saeed bin Musayab informed me of this account from Abu Hurairah. He also said, Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman, Abu Bakr bin Harith bin Hisham, and Ubaydullah bin Abdullah informed me of it.

[Sahih] Narrated by Nasai in the chapter on forgetfulness, in the section on what one who mistakenly finished prayer after two rakahs and spoke should do, hadith no. 1232, from the hadith of Yaqub bin Ibrahim, through the same chain, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith no. 1043.
