We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey when we saw a man who had fallen from his camel and broken his neck and died, while he was in the state of ihram. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Wash him with water and lotus leaves, shroud him in his two garments, and do not cover his head, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection uttering the talbiyah."
حدثنا ابن أبي عمر حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن عمرو بن دينار عن سعيد بن جبير
كنا مع النبي ﷺ في سفر فرأى رجلا قد سقط من بعيره فوقص فمات وهو محرم فقال رسول الله ﷺ اغسلوه بماء وسدر وكفنوه في ثوبيه ولا تخمروا رأسه فإنه يبعث يوم القيامة يهل أو يلبي
Agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim]. Muslim narrated it in Hajj, chapter on what is to be done with the muhrim if he dies, hadith 1206, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, and Bukhari, hadith 1849, from the hadith of Amr bin Dinar, with the same wording.
